~Technodeterminism~

We are standing at a crossroads. The influence that technology has on society and culture is called, technodeterminism. Most of us carry mini supercomputers in our pockets called smartphones. These devices act as external brains which seamlessly integrate into most aspects of our life. Most of us are completely dependent on them for travel, work, communication, entertainment, and beyond. Take a moment to consider the future implications of augmented reality, artificial intelligence, machine-learning, mass surveillance, automation, genome editing, nanotechnology, and their potential influences on society, culture, and our environment.

~Homeward Bound~

Know that everyone is connected to each other. There is no separation. This is created, to make us forget who we are and what we are. Your brothers and sisters are all around You. They forgot who they are, a long time ago. See them in light, remind them with love, who they originally are. And You = Me. We can never lie to each other, or make another person sick or mistreat any other organism on planet Gaia, knowing that this is not the highest form of treating yourself, we all are Holy. We all are Masters. We will lead ourselves, and Each Other, Home again. Let us lead the way.

Poetry {10} ~ SHEEP LED TO SLAUGHTER

Blinded by psychological manipution

Passive doctor’s numb consultation

Chemical reverberation

The blind leading the blind

Pesticide ladden food drowning the mind

Air stuffed with toxins

Small talk running thin into basalt

Additions to sugar and salt

Cigarettes, conversations, media and malt

Endless scrolling

Government patrolling

Guarding the gates to our mind’s to ourself

Deprived of spiritual wealth

Food overdosing, loosing stealth

Geo-engineering warping atmosphere

Suicide statistics undercover

The truth is hidden for those to discover

The shepherd leading the sheep to slaughter

A world not protected for your daughter

Child trafficking running rife

Gangs members bored and brainwashed, clutching a knife

Drugs snorted, injected, consumed or anally induced

Truth has become an illusion

Sandwiched with half lies and half truths

We are fed poison for dinner

Masses waking up for breakfast media

The beacon of truth, now a tool to delude

It is black and white and a lot of grey

Shut up, what did you say?

Psychology {5} ~ Goals Of Psychology

The four main goals of psychology are to describe, explain, predict and change the behavior and mental processes of others.

To Describe
Describing a behavior or cognition is the first goal of psychology. This can enable researchers to develop general laws of human behavior.

For example, through describing the response of dogs to various stimuli, Ivan Pavlov helped develop laws of learning known as classical conditioning theory.

To Explain
Once researchers have described general laws behavior, the next step is to explain how or why this trend occurs. Psychologists will propose theories which can explain a behavior.

To Predict
Psychology aims to be able to predict future behavior from the findings of empirical research. If a prediction is not confirmed, then the explanation it is based on might need to be revised.
For example, classical conditioning predicts that if a person associates a negative outcome with a stimuli they may develop a phobia or aversion of the stimuli.

To Change
Once psychology has described, explained and made predictions about behavior, changing or controlling a behavior can be attempted.

For example, interventions based on classical conditioning, such as systematic desensitization, have been used to treat people with anxiety disorders including phobias.
