Quotes {20} ~ We Think In Terms Of Languages & Images Which We Did Not Invent

“We seldom realize, for example that our most private thoughts and emotions are not actually our own. For we think in terms of languages and images which we did not invent, but which were given to us by our society.” ~ Alan Watts

  1. My weekend was a bust but I did end up finding what I was looking for between random episodes of falling asleep.

One wasn’t a main interest but it relates to this quote and some of your own blogs hit on it. Right now mathematics is racist and a conspiracy to stop social mobility retaining the power structure. The source of all evil is 3 + 2=5 x 1.
It’s from French philosophers, mainly the cynics. I am not me and the external world only exists in my imagination..
it all makes sense and it’s from having a YouTube ad wake me up with a “oh, it’s that? I know how that ends.”
It’s also the result of a generation raised on the matrix movies so it’s the psychological construct of itself which isn’t real either.

It goes into a logic loop that never ends resulting in concluding exactly where you started.
I’m not knocking the Watts quote, I get what he says and that’s the balanced end result.

His point is also made, The Matrix is just a f*<king movie.

      1. Plutonian power, specifically.

At least with Michel Foucault. The issue is.. you’re just replacing the power structure with another one that’s equally as tyrannical.

      2. Paradigm Shift is one of my favorite compilation albums.

Case in point: matrix was released in 1999; this layered philosophical concepts are surfacing which means? Yeah, thoughts and images are not our own and that free thought liberation isn’t an act of free will.

      3. If you want fun.. (related to that comp)..
The vocalist and musician in this project (song) is a chairman of the board of psychiatry in your good ole UK. Occupational therapy though.

Way off topic, I was just reminded of it.
